(November 11, 2008) (Apex, N.C.) Fuentek, LLC has announced that Laura A. Schoppe, president of the firm, will speak to students in an entrepreneurial engineering class at Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. in the East Quadrangle building. Schoppe, who received her Master of Science in Engineering from Princeton, will discuss why it is important for engineering students to have a background in business and offer examples from her own experiences as an entrepreneur. The entrepreneurial engineering class, taught by Professor Daniel Nosenchuck, focuses on bridging the gap between engineering and business. Schoppe’s business perspective will help with Princeton’s goal of connecting technical subjects to the humanities. “I am excited to have the opportunity to speak to students in Princeton’s engineering program,” Schoppe said. “It is imperative that they gain an understanding of business concepts in order to be successful in technology development.”
