Glenn Seeks Win-Win Partnerships with Industry and Organizations
NASA seeks partnerships with industry through:
- Licensing of our Intellectual Property – our inventions
- Leveraging our one-of-a-kind Facilities Test Services
- Engaging our subject matter experts (SMEs) and Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) Services – Glenn's specially trained SMEs and supporting technologists can partner with in your R&D efforts – expanding opportunities for many organizations
So how can you work with NASA?
The main vehicles for working with NASA are:
- The Space Act Agreement is the most common mechanism for partnering with NASA. These agreements are very similar to the Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs) offered by other Government agencies, but are based on NASA’s enabling legislation. Space Act Agreements can be nonreimbursable or reimbursable. These agreements can cover access to research and testing facilities, to SMEs, or to RDT&E services.
- Licenses provide you will access (exclusively or non-exclusively) to NASA inventions for commercialization purposes.
- Software Use Agreements provide access to NASA software. Depending on the stage of development and NASA mission related goals, software useage agreements are used for beta-testing software; delivering software to partners who have existing grants, contract, cooperative agreements, and space act agreements; and for use of the software by other federal agencies, commercial entities, and academia.
- Material Transfer Agreements are a means by which NASA can transfer to an external organization samples, etc. for testing and evaluation. If you are interested in receiving samples from NASA, please contact .
